Hydrosols

Hydrosols, also known as hydrolases are aqueous distillates obtained from plants using hydrodistillation or steam distillation.  They are colloidal suspensions of essential oil and other water-soluable plants compounds, which gives them a unique aroma and therapeutic properties.

Hydrosols have various applications, including skin care and aromatherapy.

Examples of common hydrosols:
  • Rosewater
  • Witch hazel

Our hydrosols are produced in France and are certified organic in accordance with American and European certifications.  Each hydrosol has different properties, which we have listed on our labels.
